About Northeast Book Reviews
What is Northeast Book Reviews?
Northeast Book Reviews is owned and operated by Eleven Limited, LLC, a web design firm located in Rhode Island, USA.
The concept for Northeast Book Reviews sprang from our Executive Editor's personal website which went online in 1999. Tim has always enjoyed writing and began posting book reviews on his site. Soon people and publishers began suggesting books for review and reviewers began sending unsolicited reviews for posting on the site. In 2003 it became clear that the volume of reviews and requests had outgrown a personal website: Northeast Book Reviews was born in September of 2003.
Who are NBR's reviewers?
Many of our reviewers are friends and family members. Some reviewers have found us on the web and shared their thoughts on good books. As we have matured, our Executive Editor has invited reviewers to submit reviews of books sent to us by publishers around the world. We gladly welcome review submissions from people who are as passionate about reading as we are. Please see our reviewer submission guidelines or publisher submission guidelines if you are thinking about submitting a review for publication.
Our philosophy for working with publishers, authors and reviewers: What makes us different?
Northeast Book Reviews carefully selects from the best books and provides our readers with substantial critical and descriptive reviews, brief author biographies, and other information for the discriminating reader. We do not accept unsolicited reviews nor do we accept unsolicited manuscripts. If you would like to review for us, please query first. If you would like us to review your book, please query first. All suggested works will be passed through our Executive Editor to insure that the book, and subsequent review, match the tone and quality required by this publication.
