Tim McMahon is the Executive Editor of Northeast Book Reviews

Tim McMahonTim is our Executive Editor and chief content provider. He is responsible for the organization's editorial voice, publishing, and web interactive products.

In 2006, Tim was selected as an Editorial judge for the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award™. This competition highlights excellence in publishing through the calendar year. Tim will be judging entries in the Professional/Technical category. This year brings many excellent works to the competetition. Good luck to every entry!

Catherine McMahon is our Associate Editor

Catherine McMahonCatherine's principle responsibilities include soliciting, reviewing, and making editorial decisions on manuscripts for Northeast Book Reviews. She also advises and assists the Executive Editor on other aspects of the site's development and publication.

Catherine holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from Boston University. She is the Intervention Coordinator for Brown University's Institute for Community Health Promotions.

Duwayne Anderson

Duwayne AndersonDuwayne has a Bachelors degree in Physics from Brigham Young University, and is a Principal Engineer for a company that designs and builds fiber-optic sensors. He is the author of “Farewell to Eden: Coming to terms with Mormonism and science,” and is the principal author of “Troubleshooting optical-fiber networks.” Duwayne is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences on fiber optics, especially in the field of telecommunications. He is the author of several dozen trade journal articles and papers, and holds 18 patents. An expert horseman, Duwayne also enjoys kayaking on the Pacific Ocean and Columbia River, as well as mountain climbing and hiking in the Cascade Range with his family.

Charlene Austin

Charlene Austin worked as a medical office manager for 17 years and is now working part time from home and raising 4 of her grandchildren.

She is an active member of several writing groups, has published short stories and poems and completed one novel, a paranormal mystery. She is now working on the sequel.

Pamela Crossland

Pamela Crossland has been a reader since age three when she tried to decipher the meaning of "Pogo" in the Sunday funny papers. She is over-educated and under-employed; however, she has retained her sense of humor, keeps an appreciation of good chocolate and continues to work as a freelance writer. She also reviews books for Booklist.

Clare Dagata

Clare has been in the restaurant business for about 15 years as a waitress, bartender, manager, line cook & pastry chef. She is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and holds a Bachelors Degree in Food Service Management. She has owned her own catering/take-out business, was a Personal Chef, and is currently a First Cook at an Assisted Living Facility.

Ross Dagata is the former Executive Director of the Rhode Island Builders Association. He is a life-long avid Opera fan.

Brother Benet Exton, O.S.B.Br. Benet was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on Nov. 28, 1963. Made simple profession of vows on July 11, 1986 and solemn profession on July 11, 1989. Earned a BA in religious studies with a minor in history from Benedictine College in Kansas in 1990. Graduated in December 1992 with a MLIS from the University of Oklahoma. He has been working as a librarian for St. Gregory's University since then.

Syeda Z. Hamdani

Syeda HamdaniSyeda works as a freelancer and writes on a variety of topics, including science and health. She is also a proofreader and copy editor, besides being an avid reader.

Nancy Golas-Flinn Ludwin

''Nancy Golas-Flinn Ludwin lives in New Bedford, MA. She is married with two grown sons, Ryan and Rory Flinn. She has a degree in fashion design from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, a BA in English and an MA in Professional Writing from UMass-Dartmouth.

Ms. Ludwin worked as a designer in fashion, costumes and interiors design and was an instructor in costume design for Bristol Community College. She currently works at UMass Dartmouth as an MBA program coordinator. However, her first love is writing. She is an avid reader and has published short stories.

Shyan Marie

"Writing has been a passion of mine since as far back as I can remember. When I'm not writing I'm usually found spending time with my husband of 10 years and three boys or simply curled up reading a good romance novel."

Ms. Marie is the published author of the poem entitled: "Father of an Abortion." She is currently working on a sci-fi novel entitled: "The Generation."

Paula MatuskeyI am a dean at Montgomery College, a two-year community college in Maryland. My master's degree is in government and politics, and my particular interest is in the American presidency. Since earning my M.A., I have earned a graduate certificate in Biblical Studies from St. Mary's Seminary and University (Ecumenical Institute) in Baltimore, MD.

She worked as an Information Systems consultant for 15 years before suspending her professional career to stay home with her two children.
